Johor Literary Award

The Johor Literary Award, or ASJ, was formerly known as the Darul Ta'zim Literary Award (HSDT). The Johor Literary Award is a medium of recognition by the Johor State Government through the Yayasan Warisan Johor to appreciate the contribution of Johor writers, thinkers, and creators. The writer's talent and drive to keep producing high-calibre work have been consistently encouraged by this recognition.

Since its inception in 1996, ASJ has been held successfully every two years and has produced future writers who are constantly prepared with new works.

Looking from the reception point of view, the organisation of ASJ has become an event that is eagerly anticipated by language and literature lovers, writers, creators, and natives of Johor in the literary world. Researchers and academics regard ASJ as a benchmark for the excellence of writing and the growth of the southern states' literature. Writers are honoured and valued for the creation of high-calibre works through this medium.
