The Mersing Museum was inaugurated by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar in conjunction with the Kembara Mahkota Johor Programme in 2016 and opened to the public on 15 May 2016.

One of the attractions for visitors to the area is the Mersing Museum. One of the exhibitions that are the main attraction for tourists and history buffs is the "Battle of Endau" display, which chronicles the narrative of the combat that took place around the Second World War.
